The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a fun-filled
overnight event designed to bring together those who have been touched by
cancer in our community.The Relay is much more than just a walk around a track. It is a time to remember those lost to cancer and more importantly we celebrate survivorship and raise money to help the American Cancer Society in its mission to save lives, help those who have been touched by cancer, and empower individuals to fight back.
After some brief opening remarks, we open the event with a Survivors Lap, where we celebrate those who have survived and beaten cancer, and those currently fighting the battle. During the day, events such as the Kids Trick-or-Treating and the Mr. Relay contest are always popular.
We will cap
Saturday night with a Luminary Ceremony at dark to remember those we have lost
to cancer by everyone doing a silent 
lap around the park, lit only by the
luminary bags honoring the loved ones lost, and those currently combating this
illness.
For the second year in a row now, Spotlight on a Cure will be offering massages for only $1 per minute from
10:30am to 8:30pm to help our team in its fundraising efforts.
Relay gives each of us the power to help the fight against
cancer. By joining together as volunteers and donors, our efforts help the American Cancer Society strive toward a future where cancer doesn’t take the lives of our friends and family.
